We'd like you to join us as an Activities Coordinator at our service Frenchay in Bristol.
The post is based at the Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre (FBIRC), a Level 1 specialist inter-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation centre serving the South West region. The centre operates within a joint working arrangement between North Bristol NHS Trust and Active Care Group.
This is a very rewarding and satisfying job — working with patients who greatly benefit from the activity programme.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Activities Coordinator, on a part-time, permanent contract, to join our existing team. The successful candidate will jointly develop and run a programme of social and recreational activities to meet the needs of brain-injured patients in the acute rehabilitation setting.
26 hours over 7 days, including weekends and evenings.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and under your own initiative. You will be responsible for planning, organising, and implementing a social, recreational, and leisure activity programme in partnership with our existing Activities Coordinators. This involves individual and group activities within the unit and the wider community. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary therapy team, personally running some activities and supporting staff involvement.
The role also involves driving the Centre Minibus and Car.
