We'd like you to join us as an Activities Coordinator at our service Frenchay in Bristol.

The post is based at the Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre (FBIRC), a Level 1 specialist inter-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation centre serving the South West region. The centre operates within a joint working arrangement between North Bristol NHS Trust and Active Care Group.

This is a very rewarding and satisfying job — working with patients who greatly benefit from the activity programme.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Activities Coordinator, on a part-time, permanent contract, to join our existing team. The successful candidate will jointly develop and run a programme of social and recreational activities to meet the needs of brain-injured patients in the acute rehabilitation setting.

What you'll be working:

What you'll be doing:

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and under your own initiative. You will be responsible for planning, organising, and implementing a social, recreational, and leisure activity programme in partnership with our existing Activities Coordinators. This involves individual and group activities within the unit and the wider community. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary therapy team, personally running some activities and supporting staff involvement.

The role also involves driving the Centre Minibus and Car.

What you'll have:
  • Interest and experience in running groups is preferred.
  • Understanding the value of activity and structure in an acute rehabilitation setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required.

We are committed to providing reasonable facilities for individuals with disabilities to participate in job applications or interviews. As a Disability Confident employer, we support this initiative.

What to look forward to:
  • Birthday off
  • Join the Active Learning Hub for a range of e-learning and face-to-face training opportunities
  • Active Reward App with discounts and savings
  • Free 24-hour confidential Employee Assistance Programme Helpline & App
  • Access to Medicash Health Plan for you and your family
  • Recognition of outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Enhanced Sick & Maternity Pay benefits
