The successful candidate will work closely with care staff, families and volunteers to tailor activities, monitor engagement and ensure safety. Mileage is paid and a range of benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Plan and deliver a variety of activities tailored to meet residents' physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs.
• Promote participation in group and one-to-one activities such as arts, music, reminiscence and gentle exercise.
• Collaborate with care staff, families, volunteers and external entertainers to enrich activity programmes.
• Monitor resident engagement and adapt activities to changing needs and abilities.
• Ensure activities are inclusive, safe and appropriate for all dementia stages.
• Maintain activity supplies and budget in line with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, games and light exercise sessions.
• Work with families, volunteers and entertainers to enhance the programme.

Rate of pay: £12.88 per hour

Hours: Monday, Friday, Sunday and every other Saturday 10am-4pm. Extra hours are available for days out etc.

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Co-ordinatorto plan, organise, and deliver meaningful and engaging activities for residents living with dementia. The ideal candidate will have a person-centred approach, promoting well-being, social interaction, and cognitive stimulation to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

Plan and delivera variety of activities tailored to meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of residents with dementia.

Promote participation in group and one-to-one activities such as arts and crafts, music sessions, reminiscence therapy, games, gentle exercise, gardening, and themed events.

Work collaboratively with care staff, families, volunteers, and external entertainers to enhance the activity programme.

Monitor and record resident engagement and progress, adapting activities to meet changing needs and abilities.

Ensure activities are inclusive, safe, and appropriate for residents at various stages of dementia.

Maintain supplies and manage the activity budget effectively.

Comply with safeguarding and health & safety regulations at all times.
