We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to help plan and deliver engaging activities for the residents and staff who call Gable Court home.

Role Overview

As our Activities Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of social, recreational and therapeutic activities for residents at Gable Court. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of individual and group activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and needs
  • Get to know residents individually to understand their life histories, hobbies and preferences
  • Support residents to take part in activities in a way that promotes dignity, independence and choice
  • Organise outings, entertainment and special events for residents, including festive and seasonal celebrations
  • Maintain accurate records of activities delivered and residents' participation and engagement
  • Work with families, volunteers and external visitors to enrich the activities programme
  • Ensure activities equipment and materials are stored and used safely
  • Promote the home's activities programme and its benefits to residents, families and visitors
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure activities complement residents' care plans

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently, with strong time management.
  • A full UK driving licence is a plus (for occasional trips out)
What We Offer
  • A varied, hands‑on role within a supportive, values‑led care home team
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities within a multi‑site care group
  • Potential to take up NVQ once successfully completing probation period.
