Overview

As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. Our Residents are people with their own stories, and joining HC-One gives you a chance to make a meaningful contribution to their lives. At The Applewood, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, help the Home Manager organise fundraising events, and involve the care home team to support Residents with kindness at the forefront.

HC-One are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s about your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You will have strong planning, organisational and IT skills and manage your time effectively. When communicating with Residents or co-workers, you will be considerate and kind.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
