The post holder is required to work in support of qualified nurses and other professionals to provide optimum patient care, ensuring adherence to Trust policy at all times.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of activity-based patient groups and to work on occasional individual work with patients. Supporting the multi-disciplinary team in providing a comprehensive programme of activity to meet the needs of the client group.

- Responsible for own actions, ensuring all patient interactions/observations are communicated to trained staff.
- Show dignity and respect in dealings with patients, staff and visitors.
- Undertake agreed clinical and non-clinical tasks following training, ensuring referral to appropriately trained staff as necessary.
- Organise own daily workload e.g. identification of suitable patients to attend the day room and take part in activities.
- Provide instruction (verbal and non-verbal) to patients on a range of activities as part of the activities programme.
