Job summary

Lloyd's Register International invites applications for an Activities Co-ordinator in our Cheltenham homes. You will design and deliver an ongoing activities programme that excites residents, supports independence and is tailored to individual preferences.

You will engage with residents, families and the local community to broaden experiences, encourage social interaction and create memorable moments for people living with age-related conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating, organising and delivering events.
• Experience with elderly residents in residential settings preferred.
• Strong ability to engage residents one-to-one or as a group.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering an ongoing programme of activities and events which engage residents, promote their independence and are tailored to meet their individual needs.

Many of our residents are living with various age-related conditions, but still strive to lead a full and active life. You’ll get to know them, find out what they love to do, or perhaps used to love to do, and find ways of creating new memories with them.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll either be experienced in creating, organising and delivering events and activities or have worked with elderly people in a residential setting, but either way you’ll be confident in engaging with our residents to understand what they love to do as a group or on a one-to-one basis.

You’ll be comfortable in engaging with the local community, bringing people in to enhance your activities programme as necessary, to ensure our residents get the added stimulation of life outside of the home. You’ll also encourage team members, relatives and friends to participate in the activities and events you organise.
