Overview

Activities Coordinator – Langport - £13.06 ph

Typical Shifts are: Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00-16:30; however occasional weekends and evenings may be required to suit the needs of the service.

About the role

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Activities Coordinators with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support through the planning and delivery of meaningful, engaging activities that promote growth and develop new skills. Our Activities Coordinators work closely with our care colleagues to support a fantastic group of people.

Service and people served

Our residential service in Langport looks out over the Somerset levels. Family orientated, this beautiful old house has a warm and welcoming feel. We enable individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex care needs including visual impairments. You can be sure that no two days will be the same!

What the role involves

Activity Coordinators don’t simply organise activities – they craft experiences for the people we support with meaning and purpose, ensuring that therapeutic opportunities are open and available to all. You could be organising events and activities within the service, or planning activities that enable people to access their local communities in meaningful ways. Choice will be at the heart of planning, and you will work closely with the people we support, the service manager and colleagues to ensure that experiences are unique and tailored to individual needs.

You’ll accurately record and report on the activities offered and session engagement to ensure we continually meet the needs of the people we support. You will also be required to assist at meal times between activities.

Requirements and attributes

We’re seeking Activity Coordinators with the right experience and values. This service requires you to hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in approach, be creative by nature with a focus on customer service.
