We are excited to announce a vacancy for an outstanding Activities Co-Ordinator at our exceptional Fidra House Nursing Home in North Berwick. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends.

Job Purpose

The Activities Co-Ordinator will plan, organise, and implement a full programme of meaningful weekly activities, considering resident views, both within and outside the home.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design activities tailored to residents' needs and abilities
  • Engage with residents individually or in groups to discuss plans
  • Gather feedback from residents, families, and visitors
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager and Deputy on planning and financial matters
  • Communicate planned activities with Nurses and Carers and record in the communication book
  • With senior staff approval, involve carers in activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a creative role involving activity planning
  • Experience organizing group activities, preferably for elderly residents
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of the local community
  • Ability to uphold residents' rights
