You’ll work closely with our Activities Senior and care team, ensuring that residents are involved in shaping the programme and that each activity reflects their preferences.

Activities take place 7 days a week, and flexibility to help cover leave when required is appreciated.

In addition to this, you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Planning and running activities that educate, entertain and inspire.
  • Encouraging resident involvement and tailoring activities to suit individual needs.
  • Organising group sessions and outings, including publicity and planning logistics.
  • Supporting the use of the activity budget responsibly and creatively.
  • Helping assess residents’ interests and evaluating activity outcomes.
  • Recording activities in care plan software and supporting reporting requirements.

In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine desire to bring joy to our residents’ lives.

It would be great if you had, or were:

  • Experience planning or delivering activity programmes for older people.
  • Comfortable working within a budget.
  • A sense of humour and a creative approach.
  • Experience using IT systems to log care activity.

You’ll be working alongside another Activities Assistant, so being a strong team player is essential even if your shifts don’t often overlap, you’ll need to ensure the programme runs smoothly and consistently.

If you’re passionate about enriching the lives of older people and want to be part of a supportive, friendly team, we’d love to hear from you.
