Job Description:

Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit a passionate Activities and Events Co-ordinator. The role involves developing community activities and events in a local community centre to encourage residents of all ages.

As Activities and Events Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver an annual programme of accessible activities, classes, events, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with the charity’s service leads and partner organizations to ensure the programme aligns with the charity’s objectives.
  • Identify the needs and interests of local residents using various consultation tools, including surveys and evaluations.
  • Work with the Volunteer Co-ordinator to supervise and support volunteers involved in the programme.

You will also contribute to external reporting, funding applications, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

To be successful, you should have experience in:

  • Delivering successful activities and events in a community setting.
  • Developing and managing activities from planning to post-evaluation.
  • Organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Managing multiple projects and working under pressure.
  • Creating and managing budgets.
  • Building relationships and negotiating with stakeholders.
