Job Description:

Harris Hill is recruiting a passionate Activities and Events Co-ordinator to develop community activities and events at a local community centre, encouraging residents of all ages.

As Activities and Events Co-ordinator, you will:

  1. Plan, co-ordinate, and deliver an annual programme of relevant activities, classes, events, and workshops.
  2. Collaborate with the charity’s service leads and partner organizations to ensure the programme aligns with the charity’s objectives.
  3. Identify the needs and interests of local residents using consultation tools such as surveys, databases, and evaluations.
  4. Supervise and support volunteers working on the programme, in collaboration with the Volunteer Co-ordinator.

You will also contribute to external reports, funding applications, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

To succeed, you should have experience in:

  1. Delivering successful activities and events in a community setting.
  2. Developing and managing activities from planning to evaluation.
  3. Organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  4. Managing multiple projects under pressure.
  5. Creating and managing budgets.
  6. Building relationships and negotiating with stakeholders.
