Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Glebe House

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Description

Glebe House
£13.45 per hour
Full Time – 40 hours

Glebe House has an opportunity for an Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team.

Glebe House is a residential service located in the Georgian market town of Caistor, near Marken Rasen, Lincolnshire. The home supports 24 males and females with mental health needs. We are located semi-rurally, on the north-west edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Glebe House can support individuals to step down from hospital settings. We can also support people who have other conditions or needs alongside their primary mental health diagnosis. This includes people with:

  • A learning disability or individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Mild to moderate behaviours that challenge
  • Communication difficulties
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Prepares plans and delivers a wide range of activities and programmes that are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of the individual
  • Providing group activities and programmes to bring the residents together
  • Participates in site wide programmes and activities, and in other home programmes, with the agreement of line manager
  • Is able to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of service users

You can find additional information in the attached job description.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

You will be a creative individual who has experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs within a similar environment. As such, you will have developed the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to contribute ideas to develop home activities. Ideally, you will also have a driving license.

Educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (A–C) or holding a relevant NVQ Level 2, the role requires experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment. Due to the nature of the position, there is frequent interaction with staff, patients, and visitors, requiring the effective exchange of information. Well-developed communication, observational, and listening skills are essential to accurately assess patients and respond appropriately to their needs.

Drivers must have held a full driver's licence for three years or more. The current licence must be valid in accordance with statutory requirements for driving in the UK.

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.

  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits including reduced rates and access to new schemes including gym membership, IT technology (laptops / tablets / smartphones) and Healthcare Cash Plan (Simply Health Scheme)
  • Access to development opportunities
  • Sponsorship of professional qualifications through our Individual Professional Development (IPD) panel
