AECOM’s Birmingham Streets team is growing. You’ll contribute design and technical input on Active Travel and traffic engineering schemes from concept through detailed design, mentoring juniors and ensuring delivery of high-quality, sustainable transport solutions.

We value collaboration, safety and modern tech to advance projects for local and national clients within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Confident engineer with background in roads, active travel and traffic engineering.
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent experience.
• Ability to deliver high-quality infrastructure with safe, sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Roads, Active Travel and traffic schemes from concept to detailed design.
• Prepare technical outputs: drawings, reports, specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Mentor graduates and technicians; monitor progress and risks.
• Champion Health & Safety and CDM compliance.
