Job summary

Middlesbrough Environment City is seeking a Project Officer to support the Hartlepool and Tees Valley active travel programme. You will engage communities, plan events and help people to walk, wheel and cycle as part of a broader local delivery.

You will also lead the Tees Valley-wide Events and Training Programme, working with partners, volunteers and local authorities to shape activity and measure impact.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering funder/commissioner targets is highly valued.
• Strong local knowledge of Tees Valley and Hartlepool is preferred.
• Experience in communications and campaign delivery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver active travel engagement and events that meet local needs.
• Build positive relationships with residents, schools, businesses and partner organisations.
• Lead social media and promotional activity across the Tees Valley programme.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing involvement of volunteers.
• Manage project activity and expenditure within budgets and maintain records.
