A leading leisure and culture organization seeks a Sport and Leisure Coach to work within primary schools and local communities. You will contribute to developing engaging sports programs aimed at increasing children's participation in Dundee. With your experience in coaching and event organization, you will help create a lasting impact in the community. This role offers 16 hours of work per week, focusing on developing innovative activities.

Qualifications

Job Description
Working in a primary school and local community, you will work 16 hours per week.
Requirements
SVQ Level 3 in a Sport or physical activity related field and/or work-related experience.
Responsibilities
As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport Section, you will contribute to the section's social objectives by developing programmes and activities with schools within the Active Schools services. You will develop and introduce a range of programmes, events and festivals and identify opportunities to improve the services and increase lifelong participation for Dundee children.
The Individual
You will have practical experience in sports coaching, experience of organising participation programmes, and experience of assisting in the organisation of events/festivals. You will also have experience of supporting coaches or volunteers. Experience of marketing and promoting activities / programmes are also required as it the ability to use a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Word. You will have good presentation skills, good communication skills, both verbal and written, good people skills and the ability to organise workload and time effectively.
