Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie in Dunblane to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. You will walk and drive a Royal Mail van, meeting customers daily and working outdoors in all weather. The role is 30 hours per week on a rotating schedule, including some weekends, with full training provided.

Salary is £13.68 per hour with paid overtime available. The contract is a fixed term for 9 months, with shifts spanning multiple weekdays.

Qualifications

• Valid full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and good organisational skills.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
• Follow the rotating shift schedule including some weekends.
