Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie in Lampeter to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including some weekends. You will sort at the delivery office, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers. You’ll work outdoors in all weathers and stay active while supporting your local community.

We provide full training, a uniform, and a iconic red van. You should hold a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and be physically fit to handle 10 kg+ mailbags and

Qualifications

Full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
Willing to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
Physically fit, able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift/carry 10 kg+ mailbags.
Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
Build relationships with customers and colleagues.
Work outdoors in all weathers and handle high volumes of parcels.
Deliver items such as exam results, birthday cards, business orders.
