Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Swanage to join our delivery team. This fixed-term contract runs 9 months with 37 hours per week, working 5 days in 7 across Monday to Sunday, including some weekends. The role pays £13.68 per hour, with overtime available, and includes full training and a uniform.

You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot in your local area, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and organised in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused and able to work outdoors independently.
