Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Larne seeks a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a 37-hour-week rotating schedule from Monday to Saturday. You will be active and connected to the local community, delivering with a trusted postal service.

The role includes full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. A full manual UK driving licence is required and you must pass a driving assessment; you will work outdoors in all weather and enjoy overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Be physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
