Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Bath for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot in your local area, and build relationships with customers.

The role is outdoors, with a 34.5-hour week across Monday–Saturday and Sunday shifts. Salary is £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) plus paid overtime; full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
