Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 10-year-old girl who is autistic, non-verbal, and has ADHD. You will help her access community activities and outings such as parks, AirHop, gymnastics, swimming, and walks in her buggy while ensuring her safety at all times.

The role requires a caring, patient and reliable individual who can establish trust and encourage participation.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and reliable approach to supporting a child with additional needs.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and encourage participation in activities.
• Experience or training related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a 10-year-old girl with access to community activities and outings.
• Assist with personal care and safety at all times.
• Provide companionship and supervise activities such as visits to the park, AirHop, gymnastics and swimming.
• Maintain PVG scheme requirements and complete full training provided.
