Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Redruth is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels, working 30 hours across a 5-days-in-6 schedule, including some weekends.

You’ll drive a Royal Mail van, walk when required, and engage customers on routes. Full training provided; flexible shifts and overtime available, with a strong community focus and outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Be physically capable of long walks, lifting mailbags, and outdoor work.
• Hold a full manual UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Engage with customers and build community relationships.
• Work outdoors in all weather and follow schedules.
