Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bournemouth is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels across your local area, walking long distances and driving a Royal Mail van, with a 30-hour week on a 5-in-7 rota.

Training is provided; a full manual UK driving licence is required, with up to 6 penalty points. Role includes weekends, overtime, pension and discounts, outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walking distances and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels by van or on foot in the local area.
• Sort mail at the delivery office and build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers and on a rotating weekend schedule.
