Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Petersfield for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. You’ll work 37 hours per week across a rotating 5-days-in-7 pattern, with weekends and potential peak-time shifts, earning £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) plus overtime.

Role involves sorting mail, delivering by van and on foot in your local area, and building trusted relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
