Job summary

Royal Mail in Leatherhead is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including Sundays. This role involves driving a Royal Mail van and walking in the local area, with full training provided and a uniform supplied.

You’ll work around 37 hours per week with possible overtime, in all weather conditions, building relationships with customers and staying active as part of a trusted, community-facing service.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances outdoors.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised for a busy delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle high volumes and time-pressured workloads.
