Company Description

For over 30 years, RGE Services has been providing fire and electrical compliance services, supporting clients across London and the Southeast with our locally based engineers. Our team is continuously growing while maintaining high standards of delivery. We prioritize fulfilling the requirements of major fire and electrical compliance contracts to ensure the safety of citizens, public sector workers, and local residents.

Role Description

The Active Fire Operations Manager is a full-time on-site role located in Chigwell. The role involves managing day-to-day operations related to fire safety, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of engineers, coordinating with clients, and ensuring the successful implementation of fire safety strategies. The manager will also be responsible for conducting regular inspections, managing emergency response protocols, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Skills

  1. Leading contracts up to £5m+
  2. Achievement of IOSH Leading Safely (or appropriate equivalent)
  3. Exceeding budget on multiple contracts
  4. Managing a team of Senior Ops colleagues
  5. Achieving KPIs on multiple contracts
  6. Ensuring compliance on all mandatory training across function
  7. Demonstrable experience of developing business
  8. Experience equivalent to that expected of someone with at least 5 years within a SCM role

Qualifications

  1. Experience in fire safety management and fire compliance
  2. Ability to oversee and lead a team of engineers
  3. Proficiency in coordinating with clients and implementing fire safety strategies
  4. Skills in conducting inspections and managing emergency response protocols
  5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  6. Excellent communication and leadership skills
  7. Ability to work on-site in Chigwell
  8. Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Schedule:

  1. Monday - Friday 08:00am-5:00pm with 1-hour lunch break
