Job summary

Royal Mail in Glasgow is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will work 30 hours per week across five days in seven, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area.

You need a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) and must be comfortable working outdoors, in all weather, and building relationships with customers. Training is provided, with pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers on your route.
