Job summary

Royal Mail in Hailsham is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term six-month contract. You’ll work a 30-hour week across a rotating schedule, including weekends, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence and be physically fit to carry mailbags and walk long distances. Training is provided, and you’ll join a trusted service with a strong community focus.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities
