Job summary

Join Royal Mail as a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Helensburgh. This fixed-term 6-month role pays £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) with overtime, for a 30-hour week across Monday to Sunday, with a 09:30am–15:30pm window.

You’ll receive full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van. You will deliver letters and parcels, work outdoors in all weather, and build relationships with customers in your local area.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
• Follow rotating shift schedule including weekends.
• Deliver high volumes of parcels and time-pressured days.
