Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Welwyn Garden City is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 9 months. You will sort letters and parcels at the delivery office, then deliver by van or on foot in the local area, building relationships with customers.

This role involves working outdoors in all weathers on a rotating shift including some weekends. Full training and a uniform are provided, plus overtime opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
