Job summary

Classroom Talent is seeking an Acting Head of Religious Studies in Aylesbury to lead the RE department while providing maternity cover for a year. You will teach across KS3 and KS4 and support continued development of the subject, with strong KS5 delivery as a key requirement.

The role offers leadership experience, working with a supportive SLT, and opportunities to shape curriculum delivery and teaching standards within an established secondary school.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS and strong secondary RE teaching experience.
• Ability to lead the RE department and drive curriculums.
• Experience delivering RE at KS3/KS4 and KS5.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the RE department.
• Teach RE across KS3 to KS5.
• Plan and deliver the RE curriculum.
• Monitor pupil progress and intervention.
• Support and develop team members.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on school priorities.
