Job Requirement

This post is only available to all permanent and temporary employees and agency workers currently on assignment within East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note this post is temporary to cover maternity leave for six months or until the current post holder returns.

You should print off the role profile and Head Teachers report and give them to your Head Teacher for completion.

It is also important to include the (EAD) reference number of the post on the report form.

PVG/Disclosure Scotland

Where the post is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed by East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note, the cost of the PVG check will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment. In some cases, this deduction may be made in installments following employment commencement, with approval from the HR & OD Manager. If the employee leaves before the deduction is complete, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
