Job Description:

Actemium specializes in the bespoke design and fabrication of process-related projects, working to and operating under BS EN1090 classifications. We are looking to appoint a competent TIG Welder/Pipefitter to join our team.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing/Works Manager, your duties will include:

• Working with thin wall stainless steel weld pipe.
• Positioning equipment and installing ancillary components and interconnecting pipework systems on our UK customer’s site.
• Using hand tools, cutting torches, grinders, etc., to cut materials and pipe sections to specifications.
• Welding/fabrication of pipework and steelwork; coded welder preferred but not essential.

About you:

• Time served in welding fabrications with mild steel.
• Experienced in TIG welding with the ability to read engineering drawings.
• Willing to travel to job sites or other fabrication shops.
• Proven experience as a pipefitter welder.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to challenging projects.
• Responsible and reliable, able to work within time limits.
• Professional, calm, and positive attitude.
• Able to establish friendly, professional customer relations.
• Experience with structural steel design per EN1090 accreditation.
• Knowledge of pipework design including P&IDs & Weld Maps (desirable).
• Capable of producing highly polished finished work.

Qualifications (Desirable):

• Time served apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 or BTEC ONC or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in fabrication & welding / plating & welding.
