Senior Project Management — DNO/IDNO/Contestable Works/11kV/33kV
Join Actemium’s renowned project management team and play a pivotal role in delivering incredible infrastructure projects for electricity distribution networks (DNOs/IDNOs), grid connections, and high voltage (HV) contestable works. You will work alongside technical experts in engineering, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget, while maintaining industry-leading quality standards.
Main Responsibilities - Senior Project Manager Grid Connections & HV Infrastructure
· Lead the full project lifecycle for DNO, IDNO, grid connections, and contestable works (11kV/33kV and above).
· Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of HV electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory standards.
· Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, sub-contractors, and supply chain partners throughout project phases.
· Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and risks to achieve successful project outcomes—applying industry-accepted project management best practice.
· Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and forecasting in line with company processes and customer expectations.
· Champion a robust safety culture, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring all works comply with CDM, DNO/IDNO requirements, and statutory regulations.
· Drive continuous improvement and exceptional delivery through lessons learned, team leadership, and the application of new and innovative project management methods.
· Mentor and support colleagues to nurture talent and promote a collaborative working environment.
Essential Skills & Experience - DNO/IDNO/High Voltage Project Management
· Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or utilities projects, preferably within DNOs, IDNOs, or National Grid.
· Extensive knowledge of HV electrical systems, contestable works (11kV/33kV), grid connections, and industry regulations.
· Strong commercial awareness with experience in contract management (NEC, JCT or similar).
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills—comfortable engaging with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
· Degree in Engineering, Project Management or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
· Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and occasionally stay over a project/client sites when required.
· Proficient in project management software and reporting tools.
