Actemium EV - Senior CAD Technician

About The Role

A Senior CAD Technician is required to produce 2D EV Charging Schematics illustrating Charger Locations, Civil Works (Trenching/Moling Paths), Electrical Containment, Car Park Spaces, Vehicles, Kerbing, Landscaping, etc., for internal and external environments. Experience in producing basic electrical schematics, electrical single line diagrams, and general arrangement drawings from engineers' designs is also required. Autocad will be used as the primary platform for all these tasks.

The role involves developing a standardised approach to produce these schematics efficiently, with consistency and quality. This is an opportunity for a technician to bring ideas and innovation to the role.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop a standardised approach for producing schematics efficiently with consistency and quality, encouraging innovation.
• Support Project Managers.
• Order parts and equipment.
• Produce O&M documentation for projects.
• Create Construction Phase Plans (using existing templates) for projects.

The Person

• An ONC/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent technical discipline is advantageous but not essential.
• AutoCAD experience is preferable; training will be provided for skill enhancement and development.
• An interest in new technologies such as EV Charging and Renewables is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Calm, professional manner.
• A positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to support all aspects of the business.
• Good attention to detail and pride in work.
• Strong self-organisation, planning, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
