About the role

Looking to recruit an EV Charging Maintenance Electrician to join our expanding Electric Vehicle charging business unit. The role will see you maintaining electric vehicle charging infrastructure across sites in the UK. The ideal candidate will have previous EV charging maintenance experience and be happy to travel to different sites every day. You might be asked to stay away from home, but will be returning home most nights..

You will be field based, visiting client sites maintaining EV charging equipment (mostly DC chargers), delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring that the work is completed safely and tidily, and ensuring that the customer has an excellent understanding of the work done.

Main Responsibilities

• Commission, maintain, and repair EV chargers from 7kW to 400kW.
• Work across more than 5 different charger brands (full training provided).
• Manage your own daily workload independently.
• Stay away on average once per week (twice if no local work is available).
• Communicate with clients and the team via Teams and various backend platforms.

The Person

• Gold Card – fully qualified electrician.
• Experience of EV charging installation or maintenance would be highly advantageous
• Flexible to stay away from home a couple nights per month.
• 18th edition wiring regs
• Willing to drive up to 200 miles/day in an electric vehicle (provided).
• Ideally able to charge vehicle at home (mileage and travel time mostly covered).
• Self-motivated and comfortable working alone.
• Confident using IT tools: Teams, FSM software, and charger manufacturer portals.
• Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexible and happy working outdoors in various conditions.
• Electricians based in the Newcastle area are particularly encouraged to apply, as it aligns best with the current geographic needs of the team, however our current workload can cover other regions as well
