Job Description

We are looking to recruit an EV Charging Maintenance Electrician to join our expanding Electric Vehicle charging business unit. The role involves maintaining electric vehicle charging infrastructure across sites in the UK. The ideal candidate will have previous EV charging maintenance experience and be willing to travel to different sites daily. Some overnight stays may be required, but most nights will be at home.

The Role

You will be field-based, visiting client sites to maintain EV charging equipment (mostly DC chargers). Your responsibilities include ensuring work is completed safely and tidily, and that customers understand the work done.

• Commissioning, routine maintenance, and upgrades of networked commercial charging units
• Corrective maintenance of client units as needed
• Conducting site surveys to accurately estimate prospective projects and liaising with clients on-site
• Training on different brands of EV chargers will be provided

Weekend work is optional, and overtime is available on weekdays.

Minimum Requirements

• ECS Gold Card (Installation Electrician) or equivalent certificates
• Experience in EV charging installation or maintenance is highly advantageous
• Experience working on DBs & Panel boards
• Willingness to travel (travel time will be compensated)
• Flexibility to stay away from home a few nights per month
• NVQ Level 3
• Organized, disciplined, and consistent approach
• Calm, professional manner
• Positive attitude, friendly personality
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
