Role: Applications Engineer

Location: Actemium Automation Nottingham - Office (Ilkeston) & Home based

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours

Salary Range: £50,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience)

Actemium Automation Nottingham is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team.

About the role

As a Tendering Engineer at AA Nottingham, you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle. This customer-focused role involves creating new tenders, direct sourcing, and collaborating with Project Managers.

Main Responsibilities

1. Client communication: Engage with clients during the tender process, address queries, and ensure clarity.
2. Cost estimation: Analyze project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide detailed estimates.
3. Technical understanding: Understand client specifications and translate them into effective technical proposals.
4. Risk assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
5. Preparing and submitting tenders: Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to create competitive and accurate tender proposals.

The Person

1. Engineering background: Degree in Electrical or related field.
2. Proven experience in tendering, preferably in automation, but open to other engineering projects.
3. Understanding of automation, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens industrial control systems.
4. Attention to detail: Ability to analyze complex requirements and create precise proposals.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
