Join our Team as a Senior Software Controls Engineer

Location: Huddersfield office (part of Actemium Automation Yorkshire)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hrs per week

Salary from: £45,000 onwards (experience dependent)

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Controls Engineer at Actemium Automation Huddersfield, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of control systems for a wide range of automation projects.

From concept to commissioning, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Actively participate in the entire project lifecycle, from start to finish
• Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
• Produce, design, and test documentation
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software
• Perform testing with customers
• Carry out on-site commissioning and compile training manuals for customer training sessions

What you bring:

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMI/SCADA development
• Good understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet) setup, commissioning, and fault finding (preferred but not essential)
• Strong understanding of control systems theory and industrial automation standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability
• Proven track record of delivering complex automation projects from conception to completion
