Job Description:

Hunter Gatherer AHP has a vacancy for an ACT Pharmacy Technician to join an NHS Hospital in South London.

This position is ongoing and can be tailored to 3, 4, or 5 days per week. No previous hospital experience is required, as the trust provides full NHS training.

Please note: An Accredited Checking qualification must be obtained to be considered for this role.

Candidates must be registered with the GPhC as qualified Pharmacy Technicians.

Duties:

1. Carry out final checking of dispensed items following SOPs.
2. Answer queries related to the supply and availability of medicines, and know when to refer patients to the Responsible Pharmacist.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care, maintaining knowledge of medicines and minor ailments.
4. Dispense pharmaceutical products in accordance with prescriptions and legal requirements, ensuring safe transfer of dispensed items.
5. Provide advice on medicines, their use, and recommend suitable products.
6. Identify medicine-related problems and escalate to the pharmacist.

- NHS Hospital, South London

- Pay rate: £15 - £20 per hour, depending on experience

- Ongoing contract with a 2-week notice period

- Working hours: 9am to 5pm
