Locum ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6)

Are you a Band 5/6 ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in London? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Title: ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6)
Location: London
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour break)
Start Date: April/May
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £18-£26 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our client's team as an ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations. In this role, you will:

  1. Ensure the accuracy of dispensed medications as an accredited checking technician
  2. Support medicines management processes to enhance patient care
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication use
  4. Provide professional advice and support to pharmacy staff and patients
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with regulations

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A current and valid GPhC registration
  2. Accreditation as an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)
  3. Previous experience as a Medicines Management Technician (MMT) preferred but not essential
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  6. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
