Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Drive and execute acquisition of content, both current and library, for HBO Max across European markets.
2. Negotiate commercial terms with licensors (volume, license fees, rights, etc.) considering budget and legal requirements for HBO Max.
3. Prepare and distribute documentation, including approval materials, proposals, deal memos, and contracts, ensuring the process is followed through to signatures.
4. Coordinate across teams and regions within the Acquisitions and Programming team regarding opportunities, rights alignment, benchmarking, and communication to ensure best practices and service coherence across EMEA.
5. Participate in ad-hoc tasks and periodic projects as part of the Programming and Acquisitions team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in a similar position.
• Relevant experience in rights acquisition for multi-territory rights within the media/broadcast/TV and content industry, including a deep understanding of rights, legal requirements, and SVOD service needs.
• Proficiency in negotiation, drafting, and finalizing agreements, as well as setting up spreadsheets and overviews, calculating benchmarks, and analyzing business rationale and financial impact.
• Ability to multitask across various projects with an agile attitude.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
