The Emergency Services Network (ESN) is a major strategic priority for BT, aiming to deliver one of the most advanced Emergency Services Networks worldwide. BT is the official supplier providing mission-critical and trusted communications for Britain’s Emergency Services. ESN will replace the Airwave network, building on EE’s existing 4G network, to provide essential voice, data, and critical communication services to 300,000 frontline emergency service members.

BT and EE Property Team seeks an Acquisition Manager to support mobile deployment programmes under the ESN contract with the Home Office. The role involves managing instructions across multiple suppliers and partners nationwide, including third-party and neutral host site providers.

The successful candidate must be cleared to BPSS (or equivalent) at minimum, with potential requirement for National Security Vetting (e.g., CTC, SC, or NPPV).

What you’ll be doing
  • Serve as the primary Programme Management contact for BT/EE’s ESN programmes, including legal agreements and site upgrades, reporting regularly to senior management.
  • Manage suppliers and coordinate with RAN teams to ensure delivery of upgrades and new builds.
  • Understand programme requirements, forecasts, KPIs, and key deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates on risks, issues, and delivery commitments to senior leaders.
  • Implement strategies and process improvements to meet programme timelines.

What we would like to see on your CV
  • Experience in Telecoms Industry Acquisition, Property, or Estates functions related to RAN deployment.

  • Experience managing suppliers and third parties.
  • Attention to detail and data-driven decision-making skills.
