Principle is seeking an Acoustic Research Engineer to conduct acoustic measurements, data processing, and auditory perception experiments. The role focuses on developing methods and tools using Python, MATLAB, and MaxMSP in an onsite lab in West Cambridge.
This 12-month contract requires 5 days per week in the Bourn Quarter Development facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on AR/smart glasses projects and advanced audio technologies.
We are looking for an Acoustic Research Engineer to conduct acoustic measurements, acoustic data processing, auditory perception experiments, and develop relevant methods and tools leveraging scientific coding skills and expertise in audio signal processing, audio hardware systems and acoustics.
Most of the work will be based in our client's new audio lab, which features an-echoic chambers, one of the world's largest configurable acoustic rooms, and a variety of other specialized testing spaces. This is a 12-month contract with a fully onsite working model, requiring 5 days per week at the Bourn Quarter Development in West Cambridge.
You will be working on smart glasses and augmented reality (AR), developing applications with advanced audio features. You'll join the world's largest and most advanced acoustics team, working alongside some of the best acoustics experts in the industry. Together, you'll tackle some of the toughest engineering challenges while developing cutting-edge technologies.
