About the Role

An established and forward-thinking acoustic consultancy is seeking an Experienced Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in the South East. With a strong track record across building and environmental acoustics, this is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with 3-6 years' experience to take the next step in their career and contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects.

You'll play a key role in delivering technical acoustic consultancy across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, and infrastructure. Working as part of a collaborative, supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your expertise further, manage projects, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake building acoustics design and assessments (sound insulation, room acoustics, building services noise).
  • Deliver environmental noise assessments in line with planning and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and noise impact assessments.
  • Conduct noise and vibration monitoring and data analysis.
  • Liaise with clients, design teams, and local authorities to provide practical and innovative solutions.
  • Support junior colleagues and contribute to project delivery and business development.
About You
  • 3-6 years' experience in building and/or environmental acoustics.
  • Strong understanding of relevant standards and guidance (BS4142, BS8233, ProPG, WHO, etc.).
  • Experience with noise modelling software (e.g. SoundPLAN, CadnaA) desirable.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • IOA membership (MIOA or working towards) preferred.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
