The
Adult and Community Learning (ACL) Service provides high-quality learning opportunities for adults and families across the Dudley borough. We offer a wide range of courses including
English, Maths, ESOL, ICT, Health and Wellbeing, and
Family Learning. Our courses are delivered in
three welcoming and accessible neighbourhood learning centres as well as various community venues.
With a strong focus on helping adults
gain sustainable employment, we provide training, qualifications, and personal development opportunities that make a real difference. Our
Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service is proud to hold the
Matrix Quality Standard, reflecting our commitment to supporting learners every step of the way.
We Are Currently Seeking a
Highly motivated, well-qualified, and inspiring tutor to join our team.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the
Curriculum Team to co-design and deliver a vibrant, responsive curriculum that reflects local needs. You will play a key part in ensuring every learner has a meaningful and successful experience.
Skills
We are looking for a Digital Skills Tutor who may also be able to teach in one of the following areas:
- Language Acquisition (ESOL)
- English
- Maths
- Family Learning
- Health and Wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, learner-focused sessions
- Support learners to progress and achieve
- Collaborate with colleagues to design an innovative curriculum
- Teach in a range of community venues, both daytime and evenings (occasional weekends)
Essential Criteria
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience working with adult learners
- Knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework, RARPA, and quality assurance processes
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Strong ICT skills
