About the role

  • Supporting Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking.
  • Working with Primary and Secondary care health professionals to improve community health.
  • Overseeing and inspiring the healthcare team to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Supporting training of support staff, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
  • Final accuracy check of dispensed items before supply.
  • Overseeing Dispensing Team Members as delegated by the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Preparing, supplying, and checking prescriptions, providing advice and support.
  • Taking medicine histories and advising on treatment options.
  • Giving advice to patients and coaching others in medicine advice and referral of complex queries.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC and Accuracy Checking Qualification.
  • Passion for patient and customer care.
  • Ability to deliver high standards efficiently.
  • Experience overseeing dispensing teams and supporting healthcare teams.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Comfort with digital technology and continuous learning.
  • Interest in becoming an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician with Boots.
