Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy invites applications for an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician at Balloan Park, Inverness. You will participate in the dispensing process, check and prepare medication orders, and ensure safety and accuracy in distribution.

If registered with the GPhC, with NVQ3 and the final accuracy checking qualification, you will provide high-quality patient service and maintain records, stock, and signpost customers to resources as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the GPhC.
• Completed accurate checking qualification in Pharmacy Services.
• Experience in dispensing and checking medications.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the entire dispensing process
• Checking and preparing medication orders
• Ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals
• Delivering courteous and effective customer service at all times
• Complete and maintain accurate administrative records
• Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment
• Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels
• Provide healthcare advice and signposting customers to appropriate resources when necessary
