Job summary

Rowlands in Inverness is seeking an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will participate in the full dispensing process, check and prepare medication orders, and uphold accuracy and safety in all pharmaceutical handling.

In this role you will interact with customers and healthcare professionals, delivering courteous service and maintaining precise administrative records. A GPhC registration, NVQ3, and the final accuracy checking qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is desirable.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday working

What your working day will look like;

• Participating in the entire dispensing process
• Checking and preparing medication orders
• Ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals
• Delivering courteous and effective customer service at all times.

In addition to dispensing prescriptions, you'll also have the opportunity to:

• Complete and maintain accurate administrative records
• Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment
• Receive, store and issue medications and other supplies
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels
• Provide healthcare advice and signposting customers to appropriate resources when necessary.

To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have an NVQ3 and have completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services. If you are unable to provide us with your Certificate for theFINAL ACCURACY CHECKING QUALIFICATION. Your application will be rejected at this stage. Prior experience in a customer-focused environment is also required.
