Job summary

Dental Directory is seeking an experienced Accredited Checking Dispenser (ACD) to join our Pharmacy team in Witham. This role focuses on dispensing, checking and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice in a non-patient facing environment.

You will work closely with Pharmacists and the Pharmacy team to ensure accurate, efficient dispensing while upholding governance and safety standards. ACD qualification or willingness to complete is required.

• Experience working in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Experience dispensing and checking prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Monday–Friday working with no weekend shifts.
• Non-patient facing environment, focusing on clinical accuracy and safe supply.

Responsibilities

• Check and dispense prescriptions in line with SOPs and company procedures.
• Support preparation and organisation of prescriptions for the dispensing process.
• Assist with prescription and order queries.
• Work closely with Pharmacists and Pharmacy colleagues to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Support training and development of team members and new starters.
• Maintain high standards of governance, compliance and confidentiality.
• Record and report near misses, complaints and governance incidents.
• Keep the Pharmacy environment clean, organised and efficient.

We’re looking for an experienced Accredited Checking Dispenser (ACD) to join our growing Pharmacy team in Witham.

What you’ll be doing

• Previous experience working within a pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
• Experience dispensing and checking prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence using pharmacy systems and learning new technologies.
• Monday-Friday working with no weekend shifts
